The name of this model, “Qala’a,” is an Arabic word that means “castle.” This is referenced to the castles found in the Al Jawf region, KSA.Â
The large flap design highlights a contemporary pattern inspired by the visual design of the ancient Maarid Castle located in Dawmat Aljandal, Al Jawf, Northern Saudi Arabia. Maarid Castle is an ancient military fortress believed to have been built in the 1st century AD. It was first mentioned by Zenobia of Palmyra, who tried to storm the fortress but failed. The Sandals for Men final pattern you see on this Men Sandals model is the final re-creation of the artwork by Tamashee’s design team. Key features of this Mens Arabic Sandals model include:
