The name of this model “Mahzam” an Arabic word which means the belt a decorative and important piece that supported the dagger.
The large flap pattern highlights in a subtle way the debossed artwork inspired by The belt (maḥzam) is produced by the weaver, the maḥzam was not merely a support for the dagger but a decorative canvas reflecting regional and tribal identity. The final pattern you see on this model is the final re-creation of these different elements developed by the Tamashee design team. Key features of this model include:
